A member asked:

Took ecps few hours after sex. withdrawal bleeding 6 days after, lasted 5 days. have stronger abdominal cramping 17 days after. chances of pregnancy?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Unlikely, but...: Plan B (and other emergency contraceptive pills) can alter the menstrual bleeding for the cycle in which Plan B was taken, and sometimes the next cycle too. One should be sure to check a home pregnancy test about 3 weeks after sex, because emergency contraceptive pills work most of the time, but not all the time. If having continued or recurrent symptoms, one can be evaluated by her doctor.
