Depression: This is classic post partum depression, sometimes brought on by the irregular schedule of baby feeding and care. There are several sources for depression treatment, starting with the OB MD who delivered you to prenatal counselors/teachers at the hospital. If suicidal thoughts are occurring call the local suicide hotline for immediate help.

Depression: Postpartum depression is common, debilitating, and treatable. Call your obstetrician or primary care doctor right away. It can impair your ability to care for your newborn. You must take good care of yourself to be able to care for your baby. Best wishes. It will get better with help.
