Pregnancy test: Women may ovulate as early as 3 weeks after giving birth, and would then have a menstrual period as early as 5 weeks after delivery. You may want to take a pregnancy test. Have you gone for your post partum visit, yet? Your doctor could do a pregnancy test at that time. You may also want to consider starting effective birth control (pills, nuva ring, depot provera, (medroxyprogesterone) nexplanon, intrauterine device).

Pregnancy?: It is possible to get pregnant prior to having a period after you give birth. It would be prudent for you to do a pregnancy test. There are other reasons for the delayed return of your period but that would be the one to check first. If you don't want to get pregnant so soon, you should obtain contraception and start it asap if you are not pregnant. Best wishes!
