Herpes can spread: If you have a cold sore (Herpes Simplex infection), it is quite possible to see it spread to other break out areas around the face. However, this is not very likely. But, if it is as you say, that your have a severe herpes outbreak in areas where you get pimples, you will need to see a physician to get more aggressive treatment. This will need more attention that just OTC products.
