A member asked:

I have a recurring rash and crack on the corner of my mouth. seems to only occur during my menstrual cycle. could it be angular chelitis?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Yes: Angular cheilitis is caused by SALIVA drawn into a deep fold of skin. Mostly during sleep. Typically an older person who has lost teeth. If you are "dehydrated", WHY? If you are allergic to bactrim, (sulfamethoxazole and trimethoprim) why are you currently taking it? Why doxycycline? Try using vaseline or Aquaphor at corners of mouth. Apply several times at day but especially at night.
