A member asked:

I'm having sharp pains in the cartilage of my ear? could it be my sinuses?

No: Probably not but a middle ear infection and sinus infection can coexist. Infections of the ear canal can be quite painful. Do you have an injury or infection of the cartilage? If the pain is toward the front then it could be the Temporomandibular joint (TMJ) thats the source of the pain. Open and close your jaw while touching the ear canal to find out.
