Need to confirm: When one home pregnancy is positive and one is negative then a blood BHCG test is needed to break the tie. When you see the doctor for the test you can discuss the irregular menstrual cycles and discuss options to help regulate them.

Could be: This could have simply been variation in your usual menstrual cycle (an early period). More than one negative pregnancy test following the ambiguous result is convincing that you are not pregnant. A very early miscarriage is a possibility as well, (these happen very commonly in otherwise perfectly healthy, fertile women and have no implications for the future), but there is no way to be sure.
