Not harmful, but...: Toilet paper may make odors more "interesting". One can just fish around to see if there's anything left inside. Search the vagina with a couple of fingers (without sharp nails), moving from the deep part towards the opening, doing the front, then the left, then the back, then the right, and then all over again. If dry, using some KY jelly helps (otherwise, one can do it after sex when all's wet).
