Here are some...: Almost always, a large simple cyst of kidney alone will not burst or cause pain. To deduce if the pain is related with this cyst, a detailed Hx & proper physical exam before timely imaging study are needed. The only way to prove if the cyst is cyst-related is see how your pain may evolve and resolve after cyst-related surgery. So, ask doc timely as needed.
