She may: Some parents are surprised when their children grow up and start to be concerned about more adult problems, but she should be expecting you to start having these concerns. Now, for sexual health visits, i.e. birth control, you can see a doctor without parental permission, but for routine exams and nonsexual concerns, you would need her permission. A family dr may be more accessible than a GYN.
