A member asked:

I am 53 and in the stages of menopause, but my vulva feels irritated, no bumps or rash, just a feeling, should i worry about this?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Lowering estrogen: Your estrogen levels are falling during this menopausal stage and as such your vulva is dependent upon the hormone for its; "wellbeing". Have your GYN MD evaluate the vulva to be certain there are no lesions or other infection causes for the irritation. If that is negative and you desire some form of relief from the irritation, ask your MD about topical medication for the same.
