Nerve compression: A nerve may be compressed somewhere between your elbow and the spine. Most likely in the brachial plexus, a complex of nerves under the shoulder; or near where the cervical nerve exits the vertebra in your neck. Most commonly from tight muscles, but also may be from a bulging disc, arthritis, or rarely a tumor. If the sensation does not resolve with stretching and rest, see your doctor.
