A member asked:

Ok so what i wanna know is how the doctor know that my nanas encephalitis isnt contagious when they don't know the type or what caused it?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Good Question: Encephalitis is inflammation of the brain can be viral, autoimmune, bacterial. I am guessing that they have done studies on nana and have not found a cause yet. That will rule out the contagious causes like viruses and bacteria. They will be searching for other causes now like autoimmune or vitamin deficiencies for example. I wish you well.
