Probably not: If you're pregnant, you're probably aware of the risk of eating fish high in mercury. But mercury isn't the only contaminant that can cause problems to your baby. Polychlorinated biphenyls, parasites and other toxins can also make you or your baby sick. Porgy fish, also known as sea bream, can contain several types of contaminants but has not been shown to have high mercury. I vote, avoid porgy.

Seabream: is the name in fancy restaurants. Make sure it's fully cooked (bottom feeding fish), and it's going to have SOME exposure to heavy metals but catfish for example are about the LOWEST mercury levels (freshwater like porgy is less risky than ocean; OLD fish worse than young). Porgy is mostly fresh and not a long lived fish. http://www.fda.gov/food/foodborneillnesscontaminants/metals/ucm115644.htm
