See allergist: Despite the surgery (which is only about 50% effective for chronic sinusitis), if your nasal mucosa remains very swollen it would obstruct sinus drainage leading to infection. Another possibility is impairment in your immune system so that your body can't kill off the germs. An allergist should be able to help you sort out these factors.
