Castor oil: While a great old wives' tale castor oil is not an effective way to get into labor. For the hemorrhoids use Tucks (witch hazel) and sit on a bag of frozen peas. Castor oil gives you diarrhea. To bring on labor, walk, have intercourse with the father of the baby, get adequate rest and nutrition.
