If i want to stop taking effexor, (venlafaxine) how can i do it without experiencing the withdrawal symptoms?

Taper: slowly as directed by prescribing doctor. You should not experience any withdrawal if dose is lowered slowly and carefully monitored by your doctor. You should let doc know if at any point you feel discomfort and be able to call him/her if necessary. I hope this helps.
