No cortisone!: Never use hydrocortisone on wounds, open sores, or infected lesions! It delays healing and increases the chance of infection. Neosporin is fine, but many prefer Bacitracin because less chance of a contact dermatitis. Clean with mild unscented soap only. Avoid fragrances on your clothes or skin, which are skin irritants If you get increased pain, pus, fever, etc. to MD.

Stop cortisone: warm soaks may help, If it does not improve in a few days or becomes swollen and red see your doctor.

These are not good t: Save the cortisone. Throw away the neosporin and bacitracin. For a mild abrasion it is good to rinse in the shower. Aquaphor or vaseline will be soothing and enhance healing. Next time use (more) lubrication before sex. Neosporin and bacitracin do not prevent or treat any infection and studies show wounds healing better with Aquaphor without the allergic reactions.
