A member asked:

Im pregnant and have moderate amt of urine all the time by every visit. i never had uti. what else can be the cause? should i be very concerned? i was sent for a kidney sono and didn't get results yet. what can they be testing for?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Urinary frequency: Urinary frequency in large quantities can be caused by diabetes or glandular disorders such as pituitary or parathyroid gland disorders. Ultrasound of kidneys will probably show no causative abnormalities. An endocrinologist or nephrologist is best qualified to evaluate you. Frequency is common in pregnancy and urinary infections but usually in small amounts.
