Short as in hieght?: No. It can take time during the teenage years for the cycels to regulate. Weight can also complicate matters causing you to be more likely to skip periods. Also your activity level can influence your mesntrual cycles. Birth control pills can actual help regulate your cycles and is a reason many teenagers start them. Talk to trusted female in the family (mother?) about this and perhaps seeing obgyn.
