Sure could, call MD.: Bactrim, (sulfamethoxazole and trimethoprim) like many antibiotics can upset your stomach. Try taking it with food (but no dairy which blocks absorption) and 8 oz of water. Avoid spicy foods while on it. No alcohol at all! Also, take an antacid, liquid or tablet (like calcium carbonate, Mylanta etc.) 30 minutes before the meal with the pill and 1 hour after and in between if still with heartburn. If no help call MD next day.
