Caffeine: Tea does contain caffeine and that amount of tea can cause acid reflux. Switch to decaffeinated tea to see if symptoms resolve. Prilosec type medications are effective for symptoms of gerd. Other contributing factors to gerd include tobacco,spicey and oily foods and alcohol.
