Why does a deep breathe increase my heart rate. i felt this while i had my hand on my chest. why does this happen and is it normal?

Normal: It is called respiratory variation. More likely if one is HEALTHY and there is less of it as we get older with less cardiac reserve. It occurs because breathing in pulls more blood in and the heart beats slightly faster to handle the little bit more blood that comes in.
