I just finished BV treatment w/ vaginal gel almost a week ago and I dont know if my discharge is the left over medicine or a yeast infection. Can I take yeast medicine just in case with no harm. I have no other yeast symptoms?

Why am i having cottage cheese-like discharge days after curing my yeast infection even though i had no discharge during the infection? I also just got rid of my BV after the YI with metronidazole gel inserts. Did this cause another yeast infection?
Can metro gel cause white chunks? Finished three days ago. No yeast inf and everything is fine. Didn't have BV or any stds. Wonder bout those chunks.
