Other factors?: The diarrhea from food poisoning can be from the whole gut being very inflamed and with malabsorption of everything. This would be associated with HUGE amounts of diarrhea, food going right through and dehydration. You MIGHT have a problem w. pill. In the MUCH MORE COMMON irritation of only the colon, diarrhea is not gallons, there is no dehydration, the part of the gut that absorbs food/med is ok
