Can scabies present themselves on the penis? how could i have acquired them if haven't been out of town or had not had sex (other than with wife)?

Doubtful!: Scabies usually does affect only the penis. Although scabies is often very tricky to diagnose. If no one else in the house has it, & it is nowhere else, it's unlikely to be the cause. If you have itching, first stop all new skin & clothing care products, by either you or your wife. Whenever there is a skin problem, avoid your usual products, if scented or contain strong soaps.
