With a total thyroid removal , is there another type of complete blood test can be done besides t3&t4 to make sure levrothroxine is working.

Check TSH: The doctor usually checks the TSH level in the blood, and tries to make it a normal level. The doctor will adjust the levothyroxine dose, to get the TSH (thyroid stimulating hormone) to go to a normal level, and to get the patient to feel well again.
