Get seen, Jeff: If your airway might be compromised, go to the emergency room. If you simply have a bad sore throat and big tonsils, it's unlikely you have cellulitis or an abscess. Both are spectacular illnesses; cellulitis spreads through your tissues dramatically, while an abscess is palpable as a fluctuant mass that you may feel tempted to drain like you pop a pimple -- don't try it on your own.
