I have a scratchy throat for 2 days now. it only hurts when i swallow my own saliva not when i eat or drink. in addition i have a runny nose.i tried everything medicine and remedy and it's just not working! what can i do?

A cold: Most likely a viral infection. There is no great cure for sore throat although topical anesthetic lozenges may be helpful. It just takes time.
