Umbilicus infection: by multiple bacteria is the most common cause, 2nd is yeast infection of umbilicus (umbilicitis). Third is a fistula developing at the site of previous birth, and possible is intraperitoneal infection . All has to do with some type of infection though so please take her to healthcare provider for diagnosis and treatment.
