my 5 year old daughter is complaing of tummy ache around the belly button area she is having trouble sleeping with the pain and is pale any advice?

Check immediately: Peri umbilical pain in the pediatric age group can be associated with appendicitis, intussusception, messenteric adenitis... I advise you have her checked by her pediatrician. Good luck.

Possible virus: Central belly pain is common for many conditions. Watch for additional symptoms of illness, like diarrhea that would imply a virus. Keep her hydrated and monitor, but if cannot keep liquids down, have her seen by a physician.
