when i went to the bathroom, i had multiple long brown flat string type things in it. this is the second time in two weeks. could this just be fiber?

Fiber, or parasites: if they move.. But overall you should not have long flat strings unless you ingested long flat strings. Please take a sample of these stool specimen to a professional healthcare provider for examination and help with diagnosis. Thanks for trusting in HealthTap.
