See answer: Probable mucus threads. In small amounts, often normal and sometimes more or less visible depending on the pH or concentration of the urine. May also be commonly seen with asymptomatic bacteriuria (bacterial colonization of urine) or contamination of urine with vaginal secretions especially if around the time of ovulation or with vaginal infection/irrigation. Urinalysis and urine culture helpful.
