Probably a cold: Maybe an allergy. Allergy don't cause fevers or aches and pains. You might have swollen lymph nodes ("glands") in the neck with a cold. Allergies to outdoor environmental things like pollens are usually seasonal. Indoor things (dust) are all year round. Antihistamines are helpful as symptom reducers for allergies and are available OTC. Best for colds chicken soup.
