Confused: Brother I am confused pilonidal cyst is usually on the tail bone next to the butt. And the umbilical area is in the middle of your belly button so where is your problem? For the real pilonidal cyst yes surgery is the only way . If you are having sinus drainage from the umbilical area, it could be an abnormal communication between the bladder and the umbilical area,need special test to confirmed .
