I have lump near my knuckle that appeared out of nowhere. it doesnt hurt at all just very noticeable. i was told it was probably a calcium deposit.

A number of possible: causes can cause a lump or bump near one of your finger joints.Injury or inflammation are two of them. Infection and tumor are less likely. If it is not painful, red or swollen, and if it is not limiting your function in any way, I think you can watch it. It may resolve on its own. If it persists or gets larger, you should see your Doctor. Calcium may have been deposited at site of previous injury
