Probably: First thing is that it's worth it to go get a urinalysis and culture. That way your doctor will know what bacteria it is, and whether it is sensitive to bacterium. Regarding your prescription, check the bottle to see if you can find an expiration date. most meds have a couple of years of shelf life. But it's best to check to make sure the exp date is ok. Bactrim (sulfamethoxazole and trimethoprim) is pretty cheap.
