Breast soreness: Breast tenderness is caused by many things. Nexplanon is a Progesterone only method so it does not typically cause breast tenderness. It also is highly effective making pregnancy unlikely. Weight gain, weight loss, diet changes, caffeine intake, changed in exercise patterns, ill fitting bras, and fibrocystic breast changes are common causes of breast tenderness in teenagers.
