Atypical symptom: Clonazepam is a benzodiazepine and will cause dependence with chronic use. Withdrawal is more likely to cause anxiety, palpitations, agitation, sweaty skin and tremors. Nasal congestion would be more consistent with opioid withdrawal; which would include nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, wide pupils, goosebumps, cramps, sweats and feelings of despair. Clonazepam effects: I understand your discomfort. Clonazepam is a medication for anxiety. It can cause swollen nasal passages and sinus problem. Withdrawal from Clonazepam does not cause these symptoms. Anxiety can be due to stresses of relationships, separations, work and finances.
