Chlamydia treatment: Your treatment was atypical: the usual doxycycline (Vibramycin) regimen is 100 mg twice daily for a week. However, you took the same total dose over two weeks. It is 100% effective against chlamydia, so your current symptoms are something else. About 10% of nongonococcal urethritis (NGU) in men persists after doxy and additional treatment is needed, usually azithromycin. Return to Dr. or clinic.
