OK: At your age I would only start medication for very high cholesterol, family history of heart disease or if you had a heart attack. Diet and exercise along with genetics are the main determining factors- don't worry about eggs and such. It's dietary fat that will raise your cholesterol most. A low fat diet with plenty of fiber will definitely lower your numbers. Checking once a year enough

Exercise is good: Exercise is good for HBP/ cholesterol/ diabetes/ weight and even to help quit smoking. It is unlikely you will need cholesterol medicine at your age, unless LDL cholesterol is very high and HDL very low. I would insist on exercise and repeat cholesterol levels in 6-12 month. Keep it up with the exercise
