Run yes, BB maybe: A torn ACL can cause variable amounts of instability. Under 25, a grade one Lachmans's is usually symptomatic. 25 to 50 y.o. can do well with grade one instability but may have symptoms of instability with grade 2. Over 50 usually do not need reconstruction. These are general rules and everyone experiences the problem differently.
