Recessive, Chms 7: About 70 % of CF cases are due to a kid inheriting a delta 508 mutation gene from both parents.There are other mutations that can pair up with a 508 and still cause CF, which helps explain some of the variations in the disease. It is not sex linked or dominant. Carrier detection is available.
