A member asked:

Why can i vividly taste the things i smell? i've had this problem for a long time now, and it's not something temporary.

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Synesthesia is the: ..term for a stimulus to one sense organ that produces a simultaneous "sensation" in another. All of our perceptions are connected to one another in the brain. For example, when you hear someone's voice, you "see" their face in your mind's eye. Some people's brains have stronger connections like this than others. For you, there's a strong connection between sense of smell & sense of taste.
