Post operative pain: its not uncommon to have complications following an extraction. The most common one is called alveolitis or dry socket where the site of the extraction does not heal well. It's normal to have some pain or discomfort 1-2 days after the extraction but 3-5 days after if pain persists possible dry socket or a bone spicule or tooth remnant . Return to dentist that performed the extraction for exam.
