Yes they should: Trichomonas is generally diagnosed with clinical findings and a positive ID on wet prep of your vaginal fluid smear. Any experienced clinician should be able to suspect trichomonas based on cervical findings and wet prep exam. Please call your doctor to find out results within 2-3 days of your exam.
