Yes: There is definitely related . The nsaids in any form can cause GI problems worse in older persons.

Not so much: in my experience. Theoretically they certainly could because they have the same mechanism of action. So someone with a known ulcer for example should not use them parenterally. Typically they are given by injection only once or twice for severe pain and are quite effective in certain types of pain, for example kidney stones.
