I would think so: Hepatitis viruses, just like other viruses, require a living host to survive, but all they need is a few white blood cells or proteins to travel from one host to the next. If you came into contact with infected fecal material, that is one well documented method of transmission of the hepatitis A virus. Hepatitis B or C, however, require blood or direct fluid exchange/ contact to infect.
