A member asked:

Why massaging my temporalis muscle fixes my tooth sensitivity/lip tingling? is there a relation between this muscle and the upper teeth/lip?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Common nerves: The temporalis muscle is controlled by a branch of the same cranial nerve that gives sensory innervation to the face, teeth, tongue, maxilla and mandible. The 5th cranial nerve or trigeminal nerve is a very large nerve with 3 major sensory branches and motor nerve branches to the muscles of mastication. The temporalis muscle happens to be one of those muscles.
