Some sort of: infection of the vagina and/or cervix may be going on. It could also be due to hormonal problem or trauma to the cervix or vagina or abnormal cells on the cervix or vagina. Tarry discharge could be also an old blood in the vagina left over from the period. See your gynecologist.
